hai, i'm a noob!
i was wondering what class combination would result into something that closely resembles a shaman from WoW? i was thinking of starting off with a ritualist for the main class, and probobly a elementalist or monk for the secondary...any takers?
i've only got prophecies and factions...so no dervish Last edited by Eostare; Apr 15, 2008 at 02:26 PM // 14:26.. |

Elementalist/Monk is probably your closest bet. Ele/Rt could work, but you have to know the class a little better to heal effectively. Do you wanna do DPS mainly or focus more on support?

Elementalist is DPS. Nuker mainly.
Monk and Rit are focused on support. Here's a profession list on the wiki that will explain the classes better than I can. Link EDIT: Also, I don't play WoW, so I'm relying on what little info I know about the game (i.e. I know Shaman goes boom boom, heal heal, and whack whack). But what Tatile says is true, classes are not the same in GW, so don't try to replicate one from WoW here. It won't be the same. Last edited by Kattar; Apr 15, 2008 at 02:27 PM // 14:27.. |

Ritualist is about as close to Shaman as you're going to get, and even then it's a far stretch. In all honesty, do not try to recreate WoW in GW, it will just make the game bitter to you.
Also, we use the term Monk, not Cleric. Ritualist is a fantastic class, you should take your time and see what you prefer with them, whether it be damage or support. Edit: My sister plays WoW, so I have a vague idea of the classes. Shamans use totems, similar to Rit's summoning spirits, but the effects are applied differently.
